Having previously announced their debut album alongside 'Atomic Number', Neko Case, k.d. lang and Laura Veirs - known collectively as case/lang/veirs - have shared a gorgeous second taste of the LP. 'Best Kept Secret' is a swooning, warming number that recalls Veirs' solo work in particular, as strings glide beautifully and brass punctuation add charm to the typically country/folk-tinged outing. Of the track, k.d. lang says, “It was done in one or two takes, and it went down super-fast. We were all dancing. It just had so much joy. Then Neko came up with that ba-da-da ba-da-da ba-da-da ba-da-da. It just kind of unfolded in this really joyful, celebratory way." Joyful and celebratory indeed, the trio's self-titled debut full length is out 17 June via ANTI- and looks set to be a thing of real beauty. -G.O'B
